Pop 4 new calibration not sticking

I think I solved the problem of poor quality full field scanning - by finding a different problem.
I already calibrated my Pop4 three times, it goes like this:

  • I launch the calibration program
  • scan the board
  • perform Acuuracy check
  • FAIL accuracy check - instructed to do calibration for my scanner
  • I go through the entire process of calibrating the scanner
  • after calibration the scanner PASSES the accuracy check
  • I save the calibration data
  • Revoscan reboots, Pop4 reboots
  • I launch the calibration process again
  • scan the board
  • perform Accuracy check
  • FAIL accuracy check, instructed to do calibration again

Either the accuracy check process is not working properly, or the new calibration data does not get stored on the Pop4 :frowning:

Can anyone confirm if his Pop4 passes the accuracy check after the calibration?

Hi Filip,

Is that after the new firmware update or before ?.

Everything up to date. Did that yesterday, there was a new firmware available, updated it and then tried calibrating - the rest you know.
Surprisingly it kinda made my day - till now I was really disappointed with the Pop4 - now it seems that mine is defective, so maybe it’s not so bad

Hi Filip , I talk to my team about your issue , they strongly suggest you contact them at customer@revopoint3d.com as they want to check on your logs , to ensure that the calibration files update correctly .
I don’t think it is defective , the calibration file maybe need to change extension to be proper overwritten by new files.
