Is anyone using the pop4 scanner successfully on mac? If so I would like to understand what system specs your machine has to eventually decide if it is worth it to invest in a Mac and where the limit is in working and still usable/ very good and fast vs. Underspecced.
Also are certain functions unavailable /crashing?
Would you care to list the specs and answers on questions below? Thanks in advance for your time and help.
Used mine via wifi to my m4 mini.
All worked fine. Got around 50 to 60 fps, was pretty smooth and it did use gpu acceleration.
Didnt try cable yet.
Mine worked fine with USBC on MacBook Air M4. Great frames and connected quickly. I had less issues getting it to work on a Mac than I did my windows PC to be honest.
Yes, I only have a Mac. Works well. I use a USB connection. MacBook Pro with M4 Max.

For everyone using mac, I discovered one problem in the POP 4 using an apple device.
Depending on the firmware installed, you will get more or less FPS. I was getting around 20-30 FPS in my macbook pro M5 while in my mac mini M4 around 50 FPS.
I contacted Revopoint via live chat and they downgraded or they put me a different firmware in the POP4 because when I reopen the software, it pops up a new firmware was ready to be installed. Now I am getting around 80FPS on M5 chip and I still have to test it in my mac mini.
They just told me not to upgrade unless they release a new firmware solving this problem.
Hope this can help everybody facing this problem, try to contact revopoint and they will give you the solution.
Please @PUTV if you can mark this or something to help others, it would be very helpful. I guess more than one is having this problem thinking their scanner is broken or something.
I have no way to pin it ,but I am sure others will see it and if I come across other users I will let them know .
