Didn’t have a problem before then left it plugged in to PC for a while without being used. Now when I try to use the scanner the computer makes the sound of detecting a device but the light stays dark blue and the scanning software doesn’t detect the scanner. I have tried:
Switching USB ports
Using a power boosted USB hub
Plugging it into my mobile phone and power supply (which I have also used before)
(edit) I also just tried for fun to use the wifi connection but same result.
Everything gives the same results. On the phone it will even do the popup asking for permission for the device to access and I tap OK and nothing happens, blue light stays and app says no scanner detected. I am kinda thinking its behaving as if its not getting enough power but there is no reason is shouldn’t be.
If anyone can help that would be great, I have only had this thing for about 7 months and haven’t really used it that much, really hoping something didn’t just stop working internally already.
If that is hardware issue , nobody can help you here in the forum , as you would need direct technical support so don’t waste your time and type that email ASAP
I already sent them an email as well as posted here. I will give what you posted a try and see if that works. I figure it is probably a hardware issue but also figured lots of people here would know more than me so was worth a shot to see if it could be something else. Thank you for the response, I will check this out now.
Step 1, Double-click the folder “Blue/Red light get log” → Download the get_log file based on your OS, plug the scanner into your laptop, DO NOT run Revo Scan, wait for 30s, unzip and open the get_log file, double click to run the get_log.bat, and there will be a log generated in the same folder, please send it to us.
Step 1, Double-click the folder “Normal get log” → Download 01-macos.zip on your mac laptop, plug the scanner into your laptop, DO NOT run Revo Scan, wait for 30s, unzip 01-macos.zip, follow the steps in the document/video to get log, and there will be a log generated in the same folder, please send it to us.
