I recently bought a MetroY Ultra.
I’ve noticed that it always displays the message “too hot 39°” when it’s running, even when I’m not scanning anything. The fan is running.
The ambient temperature is normal room temperature.
I’m wondering if this is normal or not.
Best regards, Jan
Hi @JanG
The too hot temperature means that the scanner was calibrated in a different temperature , recalibrate it again in the usual temperature that you are using it , when it is running for 10+ minutes and never when it is cold.
It should fix it , if not please contact customer@revopoint3d.com and tell them you already recalibrated it if issue presist , it is not really an huge issue just an indicator .
Thank you @Putv for your response.
i gave the wrong temperature in my first post. it was 29° instead of 39°.
but i did the calibration 2 times, the temperature is now 32°, and it still says " too high temperature".
room temperature is actually 23°celsius.
what’s wrong ?
Hi Jan,
The scanner CPU is working so it will be always higher than the ambient temp
The indicator showing that if the temperature is too high it may affect the accuracy of your calibration , but since you already calibrated twice at the same temperature of 23C it should not showing that it is too hot .
Please contact customer@revopoint3d.com for technical assistance, including the link to this thread for reference .
I am not able to do anything from the forum in this case , you need an technician to look into it .
Please make a video showing the Warning about the high temp of video if you can , it will help much faster in the support .
Let me know when they fix this issue
what temp was scanner when doing the calibration? Thats the temp that matters. If you do long scans, start a scan and just scan something for like 10 minutes, then when the scanner is good and warm, immediately re-do your calibration.
