Inspire 2 don’t have any Blue laser , it is invisible NIR laser as Full Field just laser not structure.
There are no problem with it in Revo Metro , please contact customer@revopoint3d.com
To check on your device and before that please recalibrate it again and check after
Man you’re right, it’s been a while I used it and for some reason I remembered it had blue lasers 
Anyway, I tried to delete the metro scan app entirely, reinstalled 5.8.5 and that fixed the problem for some reason, deleted it again and installed 5.8.7, now that works too in laser mode! No more yellow only scans!
USB mode still not working, so I’m still limited to using wifi but at least I can use it now
I had that glitch too with Revo Metro so manual reinstalling and installing again fixed it. If you not used your scanner for some times and have any issue with tracking or markers recalibrate by scanning the code before starting the check , even if the check passed , you can still move to calibration , it will not harm anything .
POP 4 have blue laser mode , that maybe why you got confused .
Anyway with all the different software and scanners it is sometimes hard to keep up 
WiFi mode should be as fast as USB mode without huge difference. There is not a fix for the USB ports , the only one thing I did was reinstalling the drivers ( it works sometimes to trick the system) , or get thunderbolt USB cable with at least 8GB of data and fast charging ability. The System pop up with " The USB device can’t be recognized " is annoying , especially if it worked for so long just fine. Sometimes changing the scanners on the same port can block it again by the system . So I also got a good self powering USB C hub to save my USB ports from degradation over time .

Yeah I still get 105fps while scanning in wifi mode, it’s just that it’s kinda clunky to setup every time compared to just connecting an usb cable and being good to go… calibration is not even available in wifi mode and I need to borrow a different PC where usb works just for that
As I said you can try reinstalling the USB port drivers , it may help , change the way you plug it in by rotating it , I had many issues with my ports myself in the past , and the manufacturer of my motherboard could not even helped me out as I was looking for solution .
You don’t really need to calibrate a new units until you really can’t scan proper with markers or they are not visible in marker mode , so don’t borrow the PC just to do that as it is not worth , try another good cable it may help with the power stabilizator on your USB port , best are for fast data and fast charging .
I too can only connect via wifi on the brand new purchase, and im wondering how your getting such great fraes. sometimes its reasonable at 80+ frames, (reported) but visually im seeing 1-2fps and every 30s or so it updates the last half minute all at once. not impressed
What are your PC specs? what wifi hardware are you using?
I directly connect to the scanner via a WIFI 6e dongle that’s less than a meter from the scanner in direct line of sight so connection is always optimal and never drops, I’m using hardware acceleration on a 3090 so that also ensures high framerates during scanning, have you run the internal test to see if hw acceleration is working properly?
ryzen 5 5500, 32g ram, running a RX6750XT. Nothing high end but certainly mid enough to not encounter issues. should handle steady frames fine. I have a second tower being rebuilt as a game/plex server that will be dual used for primarily 3d scanning and processing leaving my main pc for play. similar specs. Wont build it until i get this thing workling. Its a large purchase for under 1/3 of its capabilities working
The hw acceleration for AMD cards is a pretty recent addition for revopoint scanners, as I suggested before, try running the test for hw acceleration, can you select your graphics card instead of the cpu for rendering? if not, that’s the problem.
I have a 5900x and one time I tried rendering with that just out of curiosity and it’s basically unusable for laser scanning
No GPU help at all. for a near $1000 unit, thats not a ME problem. laser scanning works, just fluctuates from negligible to 100+fps
Not to defend Revopoint here, but your PC doesn’t meet the official minimum requirements so it’s definitely a YOU problem, at least in part:

I don’t know about AMD GPUs but I suspect HW acceleration for older models may be unsupoorted for now? Or maybe is just supported on revo scan 6.x and is still unsupported on revo metro?
anyway, your problem is definitely a lack of hardware acceleration

You are correct , you need minimum RTX 3050 or better to use GPU acceleration with laser scanning .
The specs are minimal so not full perfomance.
AMD CPU’s only may have slightly lower performance in laser scanning , the amount of frames is just right for that system and actually better that I would expect
Your laser scanning relays only on your CPU with that system , you can’t expect the scanner to run optimal on minimal system requirement , no CUDA GPU either. But it still is not as bad .
The speed of the frames and what is really collected are 2 different things , not all frames are accepted in real time. Laser scanning requires good computer power to work fast and smooth.
Its also the red herring here that I never asked is HW acceleration. But the issue was connectivity and question of his setup for curiosity and social etiquette.
