I have been hating the Pop 4 since I got it, but that changed tonight

After fighting with this scanner the past couple weeks, all I could get was bad scans with tons of laser scars. After watching videos, and reading forum replies, I still had bad results but got myself on the right path. Finally everything came together tonight. My scans look sooooo much better, and only need a small amount of touch up. My scan is of a 3 1/2" figure that only had a few issues around the seam lines, but other than that was finally able to capture the resolution that I bought the Pop 4. Thanks Revopoint for another great product. This and my Miraco Plus will help me make whatever I want.

So what’s the secret?

Patience, and many many frames of capture. I never gave it enough to build the scan. I would stop around 2000 or so, but now I use 10000-30000. Also be sure to select the type of material being scanned. And adjust the exposure and laser settings appropriately.

I see. Thanks for the tips! Other than that it sounds like “blood, sweat and tears” again . But nothing comes for free, right? Indeed I came across the count of frames topic myself, in the meantime - patience is a virtue.

Hi, Glad you have success, I am still getting crap scanns very difficult to get clean scans or scans that are usable, I have followed all the videos can’t work out what I am doing wrong
