Hello Revopoint team and fellow POP 4 owners,

First: great product - I’ve been using the POP 4 for a few days now and I’m really enjoying it. Full-Field HD, VCSEL and Hybrid HD work wonderfully directly on my phone (Xiaomi 15 Ultra).

Currently the laser modes (Multi-line Laser / Single-line Deep Hole) require a PC host, with the interface mirrored to the phone via Revo Mirror. I’d like to ask whether the laser modes could also be brought to the Android/iOS app directly.

**Two related ideas:**

1. **Mobile laser modes** - even at a reduced frame rate. Modern flagship phones (e.g. Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16 GB RAM) far exceed the minimum mobile requirement (Snapdragon 8 Gen1 / Dimensity 9000, 12 GB). Since the laser pipeline appears to be CPU-based rather than CUDA-based, my guess is that such a phone could handle laser processing at something like 30-60 fps instead of 105, even if sustained full-speed scanning stays a PC thing because of thermals.

2. **Optional FPS cap for weaker hardware in general** - a user-selectable FPS/quality cap could also help laptop owners below the recommended PC spec (i7 Gen13+ / RTX 3060). For example, a laptop with an older CPU could then at least run the laser modes in a reduced but usable way instead of stuttering, and phones would have a supported path to the same modes.

My own assessment as a user (not an engineer): the software seems to be CPU-based, so I assume an ARM build of the laser pipeline is technically feasible - but of course only your team can judge the actual porting effort and whether the thermals/UX of a phone make it worthwhile.

Being able to scan laser modes directly on the phone while away from the PC - even at reduced FPS - would be a fantastic addition for many owners.

Thanks for considering it, and thanks for the excellent software support so far!
