Documenting damage to preserve history. We recently used the Revopoint Trackit SR (Tracker mode) to 3D scan this 1966 Scandinavian landscape painting (signed AARFING). The artwork suffered impacts on the back, resulting in visible bulges and deformations across the canvas and the paint layer. Capturing the heavy impasto texture along with these specific structural warps was challenging, but this detailed visualization successfully records the true state of the painting for future conservation
